Issue No.200 – July 2022 : Thul Hijjah 1443
The Day of Eid al-Adha (the festival of Sacrifice) this weekend is one of the most important occasions celebrated by Muslims globally. It commemorates and honours the willingness of the Prophet Ibraheem (Abraham) (peace be upon him) to sacrifice his son, Ismail (Ishmael) (peace be upon him), as an act of total submission and unquestionable obedience to Allah Almighty, who through His magnanimous compassion intervened and provided a ram from Jannah (Paradise) to sacrifice instead.
In keeping with the above Prophetic Tradition, Muslims commemorate this event each year with the sacrifice of an animal. The spill of blood is a symbolic demonstration of our unreserved submission and love for Allah Almighty. It is a graphic reminder that the closer one gets to Allah, the greater the trials and sacrifices one has to endure. Prophet Ibraheem’s (peace be upon him) legacy reassures the Believers that our efforts and sacrifices will be beautifully rewarded provided that we have conviction and commitment.
The SANHA family of officials, members, management, staff, certified plants and friends wish you a blessed Eid and pray that Almighty Allah accept our efforts and allow us to reap the benefits of this blessed occasion by accepting all our sacrifices and the Pilgrimage of those brothers and sisters who were favoured to undertake the unique spiritual journey, visiting His Beloved House, the Ka’bah and undertaking the sacrifice. May Allah grant them Hajj Mabroor and Maqbool (accepted Hajj) Aameen.
