With the sighting of the moon marking the arrival of the month of Shawwal and the end of the blessed month of Ramadhaan, Muslims across the world gather in joy to celebrate the day of Eid al-Fitr.

Ramadhaan is a period in which a heightened consciousness of Allah Ta’ala is cultivated through the obligatory fasting of the day, the additional prayers of Taraweeh during its nights, charity, introspection, empathy with the less fortunate, and many other acts of virtue, all undertaken in the hope of seeking the forgiveness and pleasure of Allah Ta’ala.

A Muslim’s life is one of constant submission and obedience to the Commands of Allah Ta’ala and not a seasonal practice or ritual, as directed in Chapter 3, Verse 102 of the Noble Qur’an, which reads:

“O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].”

As we celebrate Eid with family and friends, we are reminded to carry forward the spirit and lessons of Ramadhaan in our daily lives.

We extend our heartfelt Eid wishes to the community and pray that this day be filled with happiness, gratitude and renewed faith, and that the Almighty accept our fasting, prayers and charitable deeds.

Eid is also a time to reflect on the bonds that unite our community. The strength of the Ummah lies in its spirit of unity, cooperation, mutual respect and shared responsibility. When we support and uplift one another, we nurture a community grounded in faith, integrity and compassion.

This year holds additional significance for us as we mark 30 years of service to the Muslim community. Over the past three decades, our mission has remained consistent: to provide guidance, education and support on matters important to Muslims while upholding the principles and values that define our faith. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support that the community has extended to us throughout this journey.

As we celebrate this blessed occasion, we reaffirm our pledge to continue serving with dedication and sincerity.

As the joy of Eid fills our homes and hearts, may the lessons of Ramadhaan continue to inspire us by strengthening our faith, extending kindness to others and working together for the betterment of our Ummah.
